The outer cover is made with silver-impregnated X-static® material that naturally inhibits microbe growth.
Comfortable
A dual layered contoured foam base, and a soft, stretchable outer cover create a very comfortable ride for kids. The 3DX spacer fabric in the outer cover also promotes air movement to prevent heat and moisture build-up.
Convenient
The inner cover has a moisture resistant urethane coating that’s easy to wipe and features an Aquaguard zipper and anti-wicking seam thread to help prevent moisture reaching the foam. It’s made with Lycra that allows the cover to easily stretch and conform to the individual’s shape. Many competitive moisture resistant inner covers do not feature this type of flexibility. Without this ability to stretch, there is a the potential for surface-tension pressure build-up under the user’s ischial tuberosities.
Antimicrobial
The comfortable and soft outer cover offers a unique benefit: it’s antimicrobial. The X-static fabric is impregnated with silver, which studies have shown actually inhibits microbe growth. This same material is also used in bandages, hosiery, and footwear to name a few. The outer cover is black as standard, and additional spares covers in pink or blue can be purchased.
Designed for Kids
By matching foam firmness to average paediatric sizes for each cushion width, the JAY Zip cushion maximizes individual comfort – it’s not a simple downsized adult cushion. Standard sizes available range from20 x 20cm to 40 x 46cm and weigh as little as 0.9kg.
