The Geo-Matrix™ Split cushion is often used to provide comfort for users who require gentle positioning and contouring with excellent pressure redistribution and vibration control. The Split cushion features an 8” split directly through the centre of the pommel. This allows wedges to be inserted under one or even both sides of the cushion’s leg trough region to accomodate the desired hip angle required for each individual user. Each wedge secures to the base of the cushion using velcro.
The wedges can be added or removed as needed for on the spot customisation. This also allows for modifications to be easily made to the cushion if the user’s condition should change.
To further the Splits custom feel and protection there are different insert options that may be add underneath the high risk coccyx section. These inserts are:
